With a purse full of British money she had to objectives for today, one was to get as much candy as insanely possible and the other was to find a job. Of course the Candy was so much more important than a job, Maddie had such a sweet tooth it was almost unreal sometimes she could chow down on hundreds of pancakes smothered in sweet maple syrup but most of time it just wasn’t enough. Chocolate was good to but most of the time she preferred sweets like jelly beans or candy floss. Anything with a high content of sugar was always okay for Maddie.
She carefully manoeuvred her way through the crowd being very careful not to fall into anyone. She stepped aside as an angry looking man stormed passed who almost knocked her glasses off (The cheek of some people) and she turned around to give him what she thought was a mean look (which really wasn’t very mean at all) but he’d already gone. She shook her head and repositioned her glasses before she carried on through the large crowd of people.
Her violet eyes widened and her mouth fell slightly agape as she came to the most wonderful store she’d ever seen in her entire life. It was a violent pink in colour with purple candies decorated around the side of the door. She was drawn like a moth to the flame and with a half bewildered expression she opened the door and stepped into the candy store. There were so many different kinds of sweets, it was as if the young Canadian had died and gone to heaven. She stepped aside and smiled shyly at the owner who sat behind the counter so she could examine a box of candies. Her eyes widening more so at the price tag. ... | notes - yey for lost peoplewords - 416credit - paddy, on the edge! |

Isabella gulped as the sliding doors yielded for her, opening up what looked like a world of throngs of teenagers whom she did not yet speak a common language with. The idea of actually venturing inside was daunting, the idea of trying to manouver her way around it even worse. She sighed and ventured in, careful to stay out of the way of mostly everyone. Inside, it felt as if she was home again, the bustle of people resounded against every wall as she walked past open storefronts, bursting at the seems with people. It was probably a bad idea to have gone to the mall on a Saturday. Clutching her purse, Isabella eyed not only the people, but the clothes and peered through her lovely, emerald eyes at things she would probably never get to wear. Walking on, she caught sight of the one store she had been searching for- a candy shop wedged between Hollister and Victoria's Secret.
“Dios mio...”
She whispered to herself in a rush, and practically ran inside; feeling for the first time since she had arrived in England such a rush of sheer joy and happiness beyond simple comprehension. Isabella suddenly felt her homesickness cast away by this small store, and immersed herself in the aisles of candy- especially the chocolate. If she could not get rid of the plague of homesickness the normal way, using vice could work just as well. She picked up a basket and loaded a few bars of dark chocolate with a plethera of fruits on the insides and chocolate crayons and just for kicks, chocolate cigarettes. Her roomates might enjoy them.
From across the aisle, she spied a thin, blonde girl about her age who looked familiar; practically drooling over each new thing she came across. Isabella wondered if she might be another student from Victorious, but shook off the feeling and kept browsing.

It was a girl, slightly younger than herself but a lot taller, though that wasn’t a very hard thing to accomplish Maddie herself was tiny in comparison to most people her age, her body was frail and her huge lack of feminine assets had already began to worry the young Canadian. Seriously she could hardly ever where anything form fitting because it didn’t cling to anything so it made her flat chested appearance much more prominent. Nevertheless she didn’t mind, she was sure whatever curves she was meant to have would come in eventually, after all it wouldn’t take too long. Would it?
She turned on her heel with a light smile in her hand as she searched for a cheaper option of sweets, surely there had to be something with a maple syrup flavour? She loved maple candy, no strike that she adored it. Though she could never have too much as she had a bad tendency to go incredibly hyper if she ate too much of it. Browsing the sections she stopped where the girl stood as she inspected the candy’s. “Everything looks so good,” she mused softly as she spoke allowed “It’s a little expensive though, d-don’t you think?” she stuttered as she began to make conservation.
