>> Belle had been delighted when the news first came out that the school would be hosting a Halloween special. Not so much for the candy or the scares, but more for the fact that every year since she could remember she helped her mother make costumes for the lot of them. The fabrics were totally reused, a potato sack here or an old wore out apron, but it was one of the small things she allowed her children. She'd talked with Antonio about it, but after a talk she was only left to tailor some seams tighter on a pre-purchased outfit.
The arm girl was in the Home Eco room, her hair pushed back into a short pony tail, a red ribbon holding it up and off of her neck. To be truthful, aside from the English classes she got help through, it was the only class were she got a solid A. She could do arts and crafts and never needed that much instruction to take a shirt pattern from drafts to outfit.
The storage room was across the hall, and in her beat up flats, she clapped across the polished floor and into the small fabric room. Belle had a vague idea what she wanted for herself, mostly wanting to construct a fancy dress with thicker ribbons of detail than allowed of her in class. She'd asked permission and in light of her work as a servant, she'd been allowed free access to all of the supplies on her own time. A bundle of reds and navy blues in her arms, the blond clopped back across the hallway, blind to the traffic and students that might be walking behind her blocky pile.

Eduard wasn't quite sure how to feel about the event when it had been announced. To be frank, it only reminded him of how little socially he had accomplished since he had been attending here. After all, there was his roommates, one of which gave him really bad feelings, in addition to Maddie and Belle who were quite nice. So it hasn't been too bad once he stopped to think about it.Nonetheless, he was going at least try to get something out of it. He was walking down the hallway trying to think of what to do costume-wise, it would have to be elegant, he thought to himself. If nothing else, he wanted to look pretty good in the costume, get some candy, enjoy himself a little. He wasn't paying all that much attention to what was going on in the hallway until he felt himself slightly bumping into someone. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention at all." He looked to see the person he had bumped into hadn't much been able to see as they were carrying an awful lot of supplies for something. "Ah, do you need any help with that?" He wasn't sure who it was but perhaps he be helpful with something since he wasn't doing much with his time for the moment, outside of thinking about the somewhat dreaded halloween special.

>> She had seen him either, making her blind dash across the hallway. Staggering, she turned slightly to see the assailant over her shoulder. "Eduard!
" the servant greeted happily, bouncing a bit to adjust her load in her arms. " I'm almost there, I got it, dun ya worry," she informed him, taking a few steps backwards and in through the Home Eco door. " Come on in!" Belle set the pile down on one of the work benches, pulling the pile apart into three stacks - supplies like hemming and lace, fabric and tools. She smiled warmly at him, happy to see him at least. Usually in her time off, she kept to her room or went out into town, but she figured she most likely looked out of place next to him as well, out of her uniform and in a state of dishevel. She tightened her pony tail, planting her hands on her hips. " I was just working on m' outfit for the Halloween events. Might as well put m'self to some sort of use." The Belgian explained, gesturing for the fabric. " Nothing fancy. Maybe something 'Alice in wonderland'-y. What are you doing?"[/sup][/blockquote]

"Ah hello Belle," Eduard replied as he entered the Home Eco door behind her. He saw all of the different materials that she had. "I an understand that. Me, I honestly have no idea what I really want to do for the Halloween theme. I can't say that I'm looking forward to it. However, as for a costume, I was thinking something elegant. I'm not exactly sure why." However he knew why he was aiming for elegant. It wasn't like any other kind of costume would fit him well. Scary would be completely out of character, silly would just end up humiliating and somehow purposely seductive would just end up with him looking rather awkward. Nonetheless he still looked over all the supplies once more and couldn't help but wonder if Belle could possibly assist him with this, as he really wasn't sure if he wanted to go out and buy a costume. He thought, how many other people who can afford to buy a costume will? Probably the majority, and then he would blend right in, he thought. Still he wasn't quite sure if that was what he wanted. All this passed through his mind once in the room.

>> Belle nodded, agreeing with what he was saying. She was sort of wanting to feel elegant too, atleast that's how she wanted to try and make her dress look like. The blond ran her eyes across him, playing with a strand of hair that was too short for her hair tie. "I think I could right help you out with that, makin' a costume. It's easy once you got the time to sit down and do it," she offered instantly, taking up the opportunity to be helpful to Eduard. She'd sort of grown used to it due to her position as a servant, but the button was off today and she was actually sort of interested in it. Eduard was nice, and she owed him for the homework help anyways.
Glancing back down to her gathering of items, she spread out the first bunching of fabric she wanted to use for the inside layer, the template already on another table as she had already started working back in her dorm room where it was more comfortable to get a bit undressed and figure out measurements. "Or if ya buy one, I can at least make it fit right and patch it up, that manufactured stuff got no fit.

Eduard thought for a moment. He had considered the option of buying a costume but for some reason he didn't really care to. He thought it wouldn't be in too much of the spirit of the event and not too mention he didn't want to just blend in."Well, I think I'd like help with making one. I kind of want to stand out a little and I don't quite think that buying one would do the job too well, if I was going to be honest," he answered quietly. He looked over the materials and seeing that she was one to know what she was doing continue shyly, "I-I would very much appreciate it if you could assist, as you seem experience with this." But more important than this whole costume deal was that he didn't want to trouble anyone. Though he couldn't help but think that Belle would be plenty willing to assist and was a little harsh on himself for thinking that she wouldn't. However, he didn't know why she would offer so quickly other than the dreaded thought arose, than the responsibility of her position. If there was one thing Eduard couldn't quite adjust to, it was the class thing. He knew that there were socio-economic classes in the real world and all, but still the structured enforcement of classes at the school. Somethings one just doesn't understand, he thought.

>> "My whole life here has been around makin' things for me or my siblin's, I know how to craft things, thank ya kindly,
" Belle explained loosely, turning around and running her hands briefly down Eduard's front. " You're a simple shape, don't fret it. Not when your me and got these hips and the hooters to work around," she continued on wards, moving around. She was flattered largely by the request in all honesty. The Estonian was pretty plain, and for what the servant knew of him, maybe it would be nice to make him stand out a bit. " Are we considerin' Magicians elegant or am I being daft a'gain?" the blond asked, thinking over in her head some ideas and plans. She could make it more than suit in jacket, little things here and there. Folding her arms, she blew up a few loose strands that fell down into her face. " Or we could jus' ignore anything ya can find in the catalog," she stated, tilting her head in inclination to the table top where a costume shop brochure sat amungst the patterns.[/sup][/blockquote]

Eduard paused for a moment, he appreciated that the job wouldn't be too much for Belle. Perhaps being a leaner sort wasn't too bad after he thought to himself. He looked over at the costume books and went over to peruse quickly. He saw various things but perhaps the magician elegant would be interesting with a more old-fashioned touch. From a different century maybe? He found a kind of design based off a Victorian gentleman type and figured perhaps that with some magic-inspired touches would be interesting. He picked up the book and returned to Belle to show her."See I think something like this would be cool, with some kind of magic based touches," he said while pointing to the outfit. He hoped that it wouldn't look too foolish but had some kind of faith that Belle would be able to create something nice. The more that he thought about it, the more the process kind of interested him. Maybe this event wouldn't be too bad after all. Having an interesting costume would certainly make the whole a little less of an ordeal if only for the subtle attention that he could possibly get. He tried not to be too lost in his thoughts about the upcoming event.
