Hanh Ly Nguyễn
name: Hanh Ly Nguyễn
origination: Hanoi, Vietnam
age: 16
grade: Junior
social class: Middle/Lower Class
positive traits:
- Kind
- Intelligent
- Well-mannered - Hanh was taught that manners were everything! She was told that people would've considered her a "disgrace" if she acted improperly.
- Skillful - Spending most of her childhood doing outdoor activities, she learned how to farm, hunt, fish, etc.
- Patient - She's never hasty or impulsive.
- Strong-willed
- Open-minded - She accepts all kinds of things and people. She also is willing to try new things, but it's usually out of curiosity. Hanh is not at all judgmental!
negative traits:
- "Tsundere" - Mostly around boys...
- Insecure - Usually about her looks or self.
- Competitive - In sports or academics, Hanh has a tendency to become really competitive! She does not notice this side of her at all.
- Cautious - Her cautiousness makes it hard for her to gain friends.
- She can't let go of the past - She usually dwells on the past way to much and can hold a grudge for a very long time.
- Sensitive - Hey, she is a girl you know.
- Superstitious - Superstition, sometimes, plays more than a passing role in Vietnamese society. So, it's really no surprise that Hanh grew up as a superstitious person.
- Cocky - It starts off as "confidence", but then as she really starts to put 100% in whatever she's doing, her "confidence" soon turns into cockiness. Like her competitiveness, she's not well-aware of how cocky she can be.
likes:
[li] Her paddle stick - She use to carry it around where ever she went; using it for her everyday duties. She still does now from time to time.
[/li][li] Pho - Vietnamese noodle soup.
[/li][li] Agriculture - She's been a farmer for most of her life and really enjoys farming. Agriculture is important to her and her country.
[/li][li] Rain - Hanh loves the smell of rain.
[/li][li] Children - They are the future and Hanh just adores them. She envies their carefree and innocent nature.
[/li][li] Canoeing - It's her favorite leisure activity.
[/li][li] Ceramic sculptures [/li][/ul]
dislikes:
- Violence - Hanh just really hates violence. Whenever a boy invades her personal space, she has a terrible habit of unintentionally kicking him right in the face.. She feels really awful afterwards.
- Loudness - People who are loud and obnoxious give Hanh headaches!
- Royalty - She really just can't stand people who flaunt their money and power. She understand that not all people who are royalty act like that, but the ones she's seen and had interacted with do!
- Losing tradition - Religion is another thing that is important to Hanh and her country. Times are changing, which is very frightening to her. Hanh is afraid of losing her own traditions and beliefs.

"...How did I get myself into this?" The vietnamese sighed. Examining her surroundings, Hanh couldn't help but be amazed. Students were all over the place. They were laughing and greeting each other with hugs, while some students had dull and emotionless expressions on their faces. Yeah, it was pretty much your typical first day of school.
Hanh, taking a deep breath, stared at the big tall building in front of her, or, to be more exact, Victoria Academy. A school she would be attending from now on. From her perspective, Victoria looked like any other high school, but she should have known better then to think that. Victoria Academy is great and prestigious school, says her parents, and when she got accepted, they immediately made the decision that she was going!
Before she got the chance to protest, her mother flashed her trademark smile and said, "Oh...! My dear Hanh, you don't know how happy I am! I know you'll do fine, your a very smart girl after all! chúc may mắn!"
How was she suppose to say no to that? So, without a second thought, she packed up all her things and traveled all the way to England. Now, the only thing that really troubled Hanh was leaving home. She's Vietnamese, born and raised in Vietnam, she was upset that her parents couldn't see how homesick she was going to be..
Before entering the building, Hanh let out another sigh.
"Good grief.." She whispered.
